Reinventing Kolhapuri Comfort: Korakari’s Modern Kolhapuri Chappals for Everyday Wear

Hello everyone,  At Korakari, we are always trying to improve our products. We listened to our clients who said they love Kolhapuri chappals but want more comfort for daily use.

So, we created something new.

Our New Kolhapuri Design:

1. Bottom Layer: EVA Sheet (soft and flexible)
2. Base: Cork (lightweight and strong) 
3. Cover: Suede leather (soft and premium finish) 
4. Upper: Genuine leather (traditional and authentic)

This new design gives you the look of a traditional Kolhapuri but with the comfort of a modern shoe. It is soft, light, and easy to walk in. We are now ready for bulk orders.

Kolhapuri chappals are one of the most iconic forms of traditional Indian footwear, known for their handcrafted quality, durability, and timeless style. However, while many people love the classic look, they often look for greater comfort for daily wear. At Korakari, we carefully listened to our customers and partners who wanted the authentic Kolhapuri design but with improved comfort and flexibility. This feedback inspired us to create an innovative new design that blends tradition with modern footwear technology.

Our new Kolhapuri design has been developed with a multi-layer structure that enhances comfort while maintaining the traditional handcrafted appeal. The bottom layer is made of EVA sheet, which provides excellent cushioning and flexibility, making every step softer and more comfortable. Above this sits a cork base, known for being lightweight, breathable, and durable, helping reduce foot fatigue during long hours of use.

To give the footwear a premium finish, we added a suede leather cover, offering a soft touch and elegant look. The upper portion is crafted from genuine leather, preserving the authentic Kolhapuri craftsmanship that has been valued for generations. This thoughtful combination of materials results in a pair of chappals that look traditional yet feel modern.

The new Korakari Kolhapuri chappals are lightweight, soft, and ideal for everyday use, whether for casual outings, travel, or lifestyle wear. Each pair reflects the rich heritage of Indian handmade footwear while meeting the comfort expectations of today’s customers.
