You needn't worry if your chappal is a bit tight initially. It will grow on the foot as these are made from pure leather. Kolhapuri have tendency to expand when used regularly.

Do not keep the chappals in a closed space for a long time.

Polish the chappals once a week with a neutral leather wax to enhance their look and shine.

Kolhapuris are best used in summer and winter months. Avoid using them in water or during rainy seasons.
