A Day to Remember for Kolhapur and for Us at Korakari!

Yesterday, our humble town of Kolhapur welcomed a special visit from the Prada team — a primary exploration to connect with the artisans, understand their craftsmanship, culture, and the timeless legacy of Kolhapuri chappals.

We were truly honoured that the Prada team chose to visit our small but passionate setup. As one of the leading names in Authentic Kolhapuri chappals, it was a proud moment for our entire team. They appreciated not only the intricacy and uniqueness of our designs, but also the soul and effort behind this beautiful, family-driven, unorganised sector.

To our delight, they took back a couple of our samples to study the craftsmanship and design detailing further. 

This visit gives us hope and encouragement that global fashion houses are now taking a genuine interest in India’s heritage arts. We look forward to the possibility of collaborating with Prada, and showcasing Kolhapuri artistry on a global platform.
